A Childhood Influence on Interior Design
Roots of Passion
Reflecting on her personal journey, Catie traces her passion for interior design back to her childhood, where she was captivated by the transformative power of interior spaces on individuals. Raised in a Victorian home where her father, a skilled hobby carpenter, intricately designed and constructed woodworking elements, she was immersed in a world of craftsmanship from an early age. Accompanying him on installation days for custom pieces in upscale homes, retail spaces, and corporate offices, she gained invaluable hands-on experience.
Additionally, her aunt, a natural interior decorator, imparted knowledge on enhancing spaces with finishes and accessories, further fueling Catie's passion for the field. Despite finding joy in decorating spaces, her curiosity led her to delve deeper into spatial planning, a fascination she discovered as early as the age of 7.
